In modern_x000D_digital communications /storage systems erro r correcting codes a re_x000D_indispensable for high reliability of such systems Coding theory is a research area of_x000D_Computer Science t hat studies construction and encoding/decoding techniques using_x000D_mathematical methods. Error correcting codes are also u s eful for fault toler ant_x000D_quantum comput ing and recently, research and development of quantum_x000D_error correct ing codes are very active I have constructed good quantum error correcting_x000D_codes based on classical concatenated codes . I also proposed a quantum public key_x000D_cryptosystem ba sed on quantum error correcting codes.
