Time-frequency analysis / Functional data analysis / Acoustic signal processing / Binaural reproduction

I am working on time-frequency analysis, which analyzes temporal variations and periodicity in signals simultaneously to reveal the characteristics and structures of non-stationary signals including acoustic signals. I am also studying binaural technology aiming to reproduce three-dimensional sound field through headphones, which is based on head-related transfer functions including the effects of the head and auricle on sound arriving at the eardrums.
