Many types of wave phenomena—such as sound waves, electromagnetic waves, elastic waves, and seismic waves—exist all around us. At the Wave Informatics Laboratory, we study these various forms of waves using advanced measurement techniques, signal processing, numerical analysis, wave sensing, high-performance computing (HPC), and visualization technologies to address scientific and engineering challenges. From familiar acoustic and electromagnetic waves to unexplored and unknown wave phenomena, we conduct cutting-edge research and development using state-of-the-art computational environments and measurement systems, aiming to translate our findings into practical applications in society.
