Natural Language Processing / Computational Linguistics / Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
Our group's research interests are in processing human language with computers. Our work spans a wide range, from fundamental research, developing technologies that enable computers to handle language more effectively and uncovering the mechanisms of what happens inside computers when they process language, to applied research that connects these technologies to solving concrete problems in our society. In other words, we are a research group in the field known as computational linguistics and natural language processing, or what is often called generative AI and artificial intelligence.
