Haptics / XR・VR / Affective science and engineering / Assistive system / Food science
My research focuses on haptics—the science and technology of touch—and extends to interdisciplinary studies on human motion, perception, emotion, and affective experiences. Current projects include the development of tactile displays that generate realistic textures, investigation of the mechanisms underlying tactile perception, an XR flight system enhanced with multisensory feedback, emotional-hacking technologies that amplify human feelings, gait stability analysis for fall-risk prediction, and time-series analyses of taste perception and perceived deliciousness during eating.
