Our research group conducts a wide range of research on digital image information, covering the entire process from image acquisition and measurement to image recognition. In particular, we are actively promoting studies related to human behavior understanding. For example, we focus on recognizing and interpreting human-to-human interactions using images captured by wearable cameras, aiming to deepen our understanding of how people behave and communicate in real-world environments. Furthermore, we are developing novel image processing and recognition technologies that make use of information unavailable from conventional RGB cameras, such as multispectral and high-speed imaging.
